Calathea is a striking tropical houseplant known for its deep green, almost black foliage, accented with vibrant hot pink markings. The undersides of its leaves are a rich burgundy, adding to its dramatic appearance.
It belongs to the Calathea family and is sometimes referred to as the Rose Painted Prayer Plant, due to its unique leaf movements—during the day, the leaves spread out to absorb light, while at night, they curl up.
